Brainstorm are coming to Australia for the first time!
Latvian super-group Brainstorm are coming to Australia! The band’s notoriety began in 2000 when they performed at the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden with their hit song “My Star.” Since then, the band’s popularity has risen exponentially playing sold-out shows all over Latvia and Europe. The 57th Australian Latvian Arts Festival Organising Committee is very proud and honoured that Brainstorm (aka Prāta Vētra) are coming to Australia for the first time.
Brainstorm’s discography is also quite diverse. Although the band sings mainly in Latvian, they have translated many of their albums into English, including “Online”, “A Day Before Tomorrow” and “7 Steps of Fresh Air.” The group recently released their latest album to much anticipation “About the Boy who Plays the Tin Drum”. So far the band has received a record-breaking total of 29 Latvian Music Recording Awards.
The band is set to perform at Latvian Hall on 29th December 2018. Ticket information will soon be available. The organising committee is delighted that Brainstorm have chosen their first Australian show to be in Adelaide during the 57th Australian Latvian Arts Festival. See you in Adelaide!
