L.A.A.J. Annual General Meeting during AL57KD – 31st December at 9AM
The Latvian Federation of Australia and New Zealand (L.A.A.J.) holds regular meetings to inform members of the community of its activities, and if necessary to debate changes to its Constitution. It has been proposed that the Cultural Fund should merge with the Cultural branch of the Association. It has also been suggested that there should be a greater focus on education because that will better support Latvian identity in future generations. To this end, it is proposed that an Educational Branch be established.
Various past and present committee members have worked on changes to the Constitution, which will be put to a General Meeting of members, to be held at Adelaide Latvian Hall Tālava, on 31 December 2018 at 9.00 am, for discussion and voting.
Information about the meeting was forwarded to members in September.
